February: Film showing of An Inconvenient Truth
HICCA emerged following a showing of Al Gore’s film, An Inconvenient Truth, organised by St Andrews Church, in February 2007. Over one hundred people attended, and an email group was set up in order to share ideas on how ordinary people in the villages of Histon and Impington can work together to play our part in tackling climate change.
A core group meets regularly to organise events and activities. Over the past year we have held public meetings, organised information stalls and set up a lunchtime club at the Junior School.
