Minutes of HICCA Meeting at 44a Cottenham Road, 8 pm 19^th June 2008

Present:            Steve, Siobhan, Paul, Jackie, Nigel

1. Welcome to Jackie.

2. Constitution – decided on following amendments to the draft constitution:  additional post of Chairperson, omit references to members resigning or being chucked out; Add note that membership not restricted to residents of H and I.

3. Committee – so far as we knew, these were the people who would be willing to be on the committee:  Steve, Niels, Paul, Nigel, Siobhan, Hero, Ken, Jacqui, Hatem, Anna?, Malcolm, Suzanne, Sara? Vanessa?  Sandy had been in contact to say that she saw her role as encouraging and supporting rather than committee; Martin had been in contact saying that due to a possible move to Holland, he did not want to be on the committee, but was keen to be involved in transport campaign.

Discussed approaching various other people in the village – vicars, head teachers, councillors, football club, Womens Institute, Chivers, HI Traders, RH of SCDC, and sussing out how they might like to become more involved - perhaps inviting them to AGM.

4. Discussed format of AGM.   Brief outline of progress so far and plans by Steve, Formal business, Launch of Pledge.   Nigel and Steve to agree agenda and get to Siobhan to circulate.  Siobhan to send invitation next day.  Invitation to say bring something to eat or drink to share and bring umbrellas if wet.  Possibility of planting something – Siobhan to ask Pene. 

5. Discussed Feast Market stall.  Pam to provide canopy.  Agreed to have a quiz with a prize draw of local organic veg/goodies box.  Siobhan to ask River Nene if they could donate. 

6. Discussed meeting schedule.  Agreed on a regular slot on the third Thursday in the month with exception of August.  Some of these meetings might in effect be working party meetings, rather than whole committee meetings.
