of HICCA Meeting at 13 South Road, Impington, 8 pm 4th June 2008

to discuss stall at Feast Market, launch of Pledge, Constitution and AGM. Date
set for 19th June.
Chairman, DP
had asked to meet with us regarding Parish plan and working together on climate
change. SM to set up meeting.
AY,
clerk to Impington Parish Council had passed SW a letter from the Energy Saving
Trust inviting applications for a support package and partnership to become the
most energy efficient community in Cambridgeshire. SW had submitted an application which
had been shortlisted. SW to attend Impington Parish Council meeting on 16 June,
at AY's invitation, in order to inform and invite participation in the project
if successful. Other core gp
members invited to attend to support.
SM to
present film. NH to provide
projector and screen. SM to
organise refreshments. KD to
produce slip to filled in along lines of last time. KD to present Lighthouse Project before
the film.
KD
presented statistics showing anticipated financial and CO2 savings from the
project. There was lengthy
discussion on various aspects, including the benefits of an off grid system,
Green tariff electricity and potential discounts from syndicate buying. Also, the need for electrical work to be
done by qualified electrical engineer, and for a limit to be placed on how much
electrical work the project could fund in case some households required extra
electrical work. Also, how the
project would be managed, and how applications would be selected: by a panel including persons independent
of HICCA.
